About Me
I have over 5 years of experience working on the QNX Board Support Packages at Qualcomm and NVIDIA for Qualcomm’s and NVIDIA’s automotive hardware. During my time at both companies I worked on the QNX Startup code, which is the pre-kernel software component that initializes hardware, collects and stores information about the system and puts the system in an environment to load and execute the QNX kernel. I have worked on features and bug fixes regarding ARM Generic Interrupt Controller (GIC) initialization, debugging features and in addition to QNX Startup I have expertise in QNX Security Policy. At Qualcomm I owned the security policy configuration and implementation and provided support to an organization of about 1500 employees regarding secpol. At NVIDIA, I played a big role in compliance with automotive safety and security standards like ISO 26262 and ISO 21434 for QNX Startup. This involved fixing MISRA and CERT violations, complying with cyclomatic complexity requirements, and completing FMEA/DFA and Threat Modeling, among other things. I have experience with ASPICE compliance from requirements to architecture and design all the way to Unit and Integration testing. I also have experience with writing resource managers and am familiar with embedded hardware protocols like GPIO, I2C and UART. Prior to this I also have worked at HP for 4 years for a total of 10 years of software development experience and have a B.S in Computer Science from Oregon State University and an M.S in Computer Science from University of Texas at Austin.
